Why We Do What We Do

The internet in India is growing faster than most people can keep up with. Every month, millions of new users come online through cheap smartphones and affordable data plans. But nobody sits them down and explains the risks. Nobody tells them that the free app they just downloaded is reading their contacts, or that the SMS link they clicked gave away their bank details.

That is where we come in. Privacy Tech India exists to fill that gap. We write about digital safety in a way that makes sense to regular people — not just tech professionals. Our articles break down complicated topics like data protection laws, encryption, and phishing attacks into clear, useful advice that anyone can follow.

Founder & Lead Writer

I have been writing about technology and online safety for over five years now. What pushed me to start Privacy Tech India was watching my own family members fall for basic online scams — things that could have been avoided with the right information.

I studied Computer Science and spent time working in cybersecurity before deciding that the real problem was not the lack of security tools, but the lack of awareness. Most people do not know what a VPN does, why they should care about app permissions, or how a simple phishing email works.

I started this site to change that. Every article here is something I would send to my own parents, siblings, or friends. If it does not make sense to them, I rewrite it until it does.

Our Values

01

No Jargon, No Nonsense

We write for real people. If something can be explained in simple words, we use simple words.

02

India First

Every tip and tool recommendation considers the Indian context — our apps, our payment systems, our laws.

03

Tested and Verified

We do not recommend anything we have not tried ourselves. No sponsored nonsense disguised as advice.

04

Always Free

Good security advice should not cost money. Everything on this site is free and always will be.
